MOTIVATION
Desire to attract extremely capable persons with maturity
and a variety of work experiences to the teaching profession.

All endorsement areas covered under internship teacher education
programs.
WHO OPERATES
IHE
REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
of higher education.
Screening by IHE and K-12 practitioners.
Testing requirements for admission to a teacher education
program.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The candidate teaches in a one-year internship, under a closely
supervised mentoring program, and completes other credit specified
by the IHE. Upon completion of program and test requirements,
the candidate will be recommended for full licensure by the
institution.

Not applicable.

IHE, LEA.
LENGTH OF TIME
One year. May be reissued two times, but intern may teach
using the license for the equivalent of no more than one school
year.
