MOTIVATION

To employ teacher preparation program completers while they continue to prepare to pass Praxis II.

Any endorsement area can be placed on the Interim B.

WHO OPERATES

State of Tennessee Dept. of Education

REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER

The local school district superintendent must state the district's intent to employ.

The individual must already meet all licensure requirements except completion of testing as determined by the State Department of Education.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

While working under this credential, the individual must complete the required testing prior to being issued a full teaching license.

NUMBER OF CREDIT HOURS TO COMPLETE

Not applicable.

WHO EVALUATES

Not applicable.

LENGTH OF TIME

Valid for one calendar year -- until the following August 31.

Not to be issued more than two times, unless a one-year extension is requested by the school superintendent for persons with a handicapping condition.
